Urology Residency
Welcome and thank you for your interest in the Ascension Macomb-Oakland Hospital Urology Residency Program. Our program is part of the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine Statewide Campus System consisting of several hospitals in Southeast Michigan. Residents of our program receive their clinical training and educational experience in a broad variety of urologic practices including endourology, calculus disease, infertility, urologic oncology andrology, female urology, sexual dysfunction, voiding dysfunction, pediatrics, minimally invasive, and robotic surgery. Excellence in robotic surgery is evident in our program with at least one DaVinci Surgical System at each of our hospitals. These training institutions include Ascension Macomb-Oakland, Ascension Providence and Beaumont campuses in Grosse Pointe and Royal Oak.
The Ascension Macomb-Oakland Hospital Urology Residency is made up of ten (10) residents. The program accepts two residents per academic year. Our residents are trained by a diverse group of core teaching faculty including affiliate urologist. With the support of our dedicated medical education administrators, staff, and researchers our program is committed to academic excellence, surgical skills, and clinical competency.
The program is focused on training residents to be fully capable of entering autonomous practice post residency or pursue a Fellowship in their desired subspecialty. Our graduating residents have a 100% Board Certification pass rate and have thriving practices throughout the country.
