Protected program education is via video conference from our three major sites: Ascension St. John Hospital and Ascension St. John Providence Southfield and Park. Starting at 7 a.m., we have resident and attending lectures followed by OITE based questions. Lectures are based on our year long comprehensive curriculum.

Anatomy Lab
Resident meet twice a month as a program to study musculoskeletal anatomy. One portion being gross anatomy and the other being surgical approaches. The lab is run by the second year residents who, along with our interns, present the relevant anatomy. Attendings and senior residents add valuable clinical information to the group discussion.

AO Trauma - Basic Principles of Fracture Management
The Basic Principles of Fracture Management Courses is designed to provided the participant with a fundamental knowledge of operative treatments of fracture care according to the AO principles. The course will cover the concepts of absolute and relative stability as applied in context of the soft tissue injury for each limb segment's major fracture types. This course will teach the surgeon how to mange trauma and trauma reconstruction.
