Nephrology Fellowship

Thank you for your interest in the Nephrology Fellowship Training Program. The program is led by Dr. Khaled Ismail who is the program director, certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine Certified and the American Board of Nephrology. 

The Ascension Macomb-Oakland Hospital Nephrology Fellowship training program is accredited through the American College of Graduate Medical Education.  Trainees from our program become board certified Nephrologist by the American Board of Internal Medicine and are prepared go into autonomous practice of clinical nephrology. The programs’ goal is to train fellows to become outstanding clinicians in nephrology. The program appointments one (1) fellow to the program each year.  We are seeking fellows who are committed to research and academic medicine. 

We participate in the ERAS electronic nephrology fellowship program application process and the NRMP fellowship match program.
