Our Directors of Research work steadfast in their roles to assist the institution’s 218 residents and fellows in their quest to achieve scholarly activity. Research Directors provide instruction through didactics on types of research, QA/QI, preparing abstracts and posters, reviewing medical literature, statistics, etc.
In accordance with ACGME, the purpose of scholarly activity is to advance residents’ knowledge of the basic principles of research, including how research is conducted, evaluated, explained to patients, and applied to patient care. (Core)
Our research team aids with study design, helping to generate ideas through study completion including; protocol design, IRB applications, sample size determination, statistical analysis, randomization, and abstract and poster or manuscript completion.
