Third-Year Rotation

Third-Year Core Rotations are reserved for Michigan State University, Kansas City University (KCUMB) and Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. Third year scheduling and student placement is determined by the university. 

Audition Rotation

We begin accepting audition rotation requests for the 2024-2025 academic year on Monday, February 26, 2024, at midnight.  Please do not submit an audition request before this date. We will automatically deny any request received prior to Monday, February 26, 2024. 

Elective Rotations

We begin accepting elective rotation requests for the 2024-2025 academic year on Monday, March 25, 2024.  Please do not submit a student elective rotation request before this date. We will automatically deny any request submitted prior to Monday, March 25, 2024.

Rotation Policy

All rotations start on Monday and end on Sunday. Rotations are 4-weeks in length unless identified with an asterisk (*). The rotation with an asterisks are 2 0r 4-week rotations. Once your audition and/or elective request is received it takes up to 30-days to process your request.

Due to the high volume of request, please do not submit multiple request for the same rotation. 

NOTICE

We allow for ONLY one change to an approved rotation if the change request is received at least 30-days before the start of the rotation and/or if the rotation program has availability.  If your rotation change request is not available, we will place you on a waitlist. 

Ascension Macomb-Oakland Hospital has implemented a refundable $75 processing fee for all approved visiting student audition requests.  Students should remit processing fee by money order only. made payable in the following format: Ascension Macomb-Oakland Hospital OR (insert student name here). Only payments received that include both the hospital and the students name on the money order in the above format including the 'or' are acceptable and valid. 

The fee is only refundable 1. Upon full completion of your rotation and 2. Your medical student ID badge and meal card are returned within 3-days of the completion of the rotation or, 3. Cancellation of your rotation more than 30-days prior to the start of the rotation.

You will forfeit your $75 processing fee if you lack professionalism by canceling your rotation within 30-days and/or failing to show for a rotation

Ascension Macomb-Oakland Hospital reserves the right to cancel or deny any future rotations for any student(s) canceling their rotation within 30-days and/or failure to show for a rotation.
