Meet Our Residents

Elise Carter, PharmD

Resident

Elise, originally from Waukesha, WI, completed her undergraduate prerequisites and PharmD degree at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa.  Her clinical interests include pain management and ambulatory care.  Her elective rotations include oncology, medication safety, and women’s health/NICU.  She will also be completing a teaching certificate through the Concordia University School of Pharmacy.  Her longitudinal research project is focused on ketamine dosing in the emergency room for procedural sedation.  In her free time, Elise enjoys reading, trying new restaurants, and watching Packers and Badgers football.

Jeremy Massey, PharmD

Resident

Jeremy grew up in Southfield, MI then went to pharmacy school at Rosalind Franklin University College of Pharmacy in North Chicago, IL (class of 2019).  He is interested in working as a pharmacist in the critical care or emergency department to best optimize and manage the pharmacotherapy of our patients in an acute state.  Jeremy is especially interested in working in those environments because it fosters close interprofessional collaboration in managing patient care.  His chosen electives for this year are Emergency Medicine II, Cardiology and Medication Safety.  His year long project will evaluate the use of analgesia and sedation after paralysis for rapid sequence intubation in the Emergency Department.  Before starting residency, Jeremy spent 4 years as a retail pharmacist.  Jeremy enjoys spending his free time with his family.  He and his wife Leora have 4 children ranging in ages from 5 months to 10 years.  Jeremy enjoys playing chess online or with anyone who will play with him.  He is an avid joke teller, sports enthusiast and a true-crime novel and podcast junkie.  

Leah Baker, PharmD, MBA

Resident

Leah is originally from Hanover Park, IL.  She completed both her undergraduate and pharmacy school training at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE).  Leah’s clinical interests include critical care and emergency medicine, with selected rotation electives in AMS/ID, Women's Health/NICU, and Medication Safety.  Her year-long research project focuses on infection rates in patients with cerebrospinal fluid shunts with and without prolonged antibiotic prophylaxis.  In her free time, Leah loves traveling with her partner, attending concerts, and exploring Milwaukee. 

Nesreen Hamoudeh, PharmD

Resident

Nesreen is from the Milwaukee area and graduated from UW-Milwaukee with a BS in Cell and Molecular Biology, and then went on to obtain her PharmD at the Medical College of Wisconsin.  Her interests include Infectious Diseases and Oncology, and her research project for this year is Oral Antibiotic Step Down Treatment for Disease States Typically Covered with IV OPAT.  In her free time, Nesreen enjoys reading, hiking, and playing her Nintendo Switch.
