Compensation

Resident Pay ranges

Each year, Ascension evaluates our pay ranges by comparing against local and national data for each position. The following is for Academic Year Year 2026
(July 2025- June 2026):

  • PGY1: $70,544
  • PGY2: $72,238
  • PGY3: $75,305

Continuing Medical Education (CME) Stipend

Annual stipend of $1,500. Reimbursable expenses should be verified in advance by the Program Coordinator and or the Program Director. Full policy and eligible/ineligible expenses will be reviewed during Orientation.

Time Off

Residents are awarded 120 hours of Front-loaded time off (FLTO) annually and is used for Paid Time Off for vacation/CME and for any sick/urgent time away. PGY2/3 receive an additional 40 hours of PTO for Board Examination, Interviews and Conferences for Scholarly presentations.

Paid Holidays

Ascension recognizes eight paid holidays a year. Holiday hours are not accrued or counted in your time off hours, but are deposited on the date the holiday is observed. Holidays are not guaranteed time off if the rotation includes call coverage over a holiday. The resident will be able to bank the time for a later date.
