Compensation
Resident Pay ranges
Each year, Ascension evaluates our pay ranges by comparing against local and national data for each position. The following is for Academic Year 2025
(July 2024- June 2025):
- PGY1: $70,544.70
- PGY2: $72,238.02
- PGY3: $75,305.36
Continuing Medical Education (CME) Stipend
We provide an annual stipend of $1,500. Reimbursable expenses should be verified in advance by the Program Coordinator and/or the Program Director. The full policy and eligible/ineligible expenses will be reviewed during orientation.
Time Off
Residents are awarded 120 hours of front-loaded time off (FLTO) annually and is used for vacation, CME and sick time. PGY2/3 receive an additional 40 hours for board examination, interviews and conferences for scholarly presentations.
Paid Holidays
Ascension recognizes eight paid holidays a year. Holiday hours are not accrued or counted in your time off hours, but are deposited on the date the holiday is observed. Holidays are not guaranteed time off if the rotation includes call coverage over a holiday. The resident will be able to bank the time for a later date.
