Meet Our Preceptors

Sean Byers, PharmD, BCPS

earned his PharmD from Creighton University in 2014. Upon graduation, he moved to Milwaukee where he completed his PGY-1 inpatient pharmacy practice residency at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center. He is currently a clinical pharmacist at Ascension St. Francis Hospital and is a co-preceptor for the Emergency Medicine rotation. He is a member of both the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists and the Pharmacy Society of Wisconsin.

Deb Byzewski, PharmD

received her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Pharmacy in 1991 and her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Pharmacy in 2002. She completed a pharmacy practice residency (PGY-1) at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin in 2003. She is a member of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists and the American College of Clinical Pharmacy. Her practice interests include pediatrics, neurology and investigational drug services.

Rustin Groskreutz, PharmD, BCCCP

earned a B.S. in Pharmacology and Toxicology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1999 and a PharmD from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2002. He has 18 years of clinical practice experience focusing in critical care medicine. He is currently one of the critical care pharmacists at Ascension St. Francis Hospital in Milwaukee.

Phill Guyer, Rph

received his B.S. in Pharmacy from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1989. He has practiced for the last 30 years predominantly in Home Infusion pharmacy and sterile product preparation. The majority of those years have been in a leadership position. He has been a clinical preceptor for The University of Wisconsin-Madison, Creighton University and Concordia University-Wisconsin. He has worked the last 6 years in hospital pharmacy management. Phill currently serves as one of the preceptors for the Administration/Drug Policy rotation.

Christa Hatch, PharmD, BCPS

earned a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Marquette University in 2009 and a Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2013. She completed a PGY-1 pharmacy residency at Froedtert Hospital and is currently a pharmacist at St. Francis Hospital. She is a member of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists and the Pharmacy Society of Wisconsin. Her areas of interest include geriatrics and informatics.

Nadir Hinnawi, PharmD, BCCCP

earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Wisconsin - Madison in 2007. He worked as a clinical pharmacist at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee (2007-2010) and St. Joseph hospital in Milwaukee (2010-2017). His primary focus was providing inpatient clinical pharmacy services in the intensive care units.

Currently, Nadir has been employed at St. Francis hospital in Milwaukee as the lead clinical pharmacist focusing half of his time operating as a clinical manager and the remaining half of the time providing decentral staffing in the intensive care unit. Nadir co-precepts the ICU and administration rotation for PGY1 pharmacy residents. He continues to serve as a clinical instructor for both IPPE and APPE students for both UW-Madison and CUW School of Pharmacies.

Karri Kuehn, PharmD, BCPS

earned her PharmD from Concordia University of Wisconsin in 2016. She obtained her Antimicrobial Stewardship Certificate from SIDP in 2017. She is currently a clinical oncology pharmacist and the primary preceptor for the oncology rotation. In addition to oncology Karri’s clinical interests include infectious disease and internal medicine. In her free time, Karri enjoys spending time with family and kickboxing.

Jaladhi Pandya, Rph

earned her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the Gujarat University- India in 1988 and Master of Pharmacy in 1990 with a Major in Pharmacology. She has spent her career in retail pharmacy, mail order pharmacy and now in a hospital setting since 2000. Her practice interests include behavioral health, neurology, ambulatory care and investigational drug services. Currently, she precepts the central pharmacy rotation. In her free time, Jaladhi enjoys spending time with his family, gardening and painting.

Jaclyn Utrie, PharmD

earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in 2021. She pursued a PGY-1 pharmacy residency at Ascension St. Francis Hospital and remained on staff as a pharmacist upon completion of her training. She has worked throughout the hospital, co-precepting pharmacy students and residents in cardiology, internal medicine, central pharmacy, and the emergency department. She is a member of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists and the Pharmacy Society of Wisconsin. Her areas of interest include infectious disease and cardiology.

Benjamin Scott, PharmD, BCPS, BCCP

earned his PharmD from the University of Wyoming in 2013. He then went on to complete a PGY1 pharmacy residency at Wheaton Franciscan – St. Joseph Campus in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He received his board certification in Pharmacotherapy in 2014 (recertification in 2021) and in Cardiology Pharmacy in 2021. He is currently a clinical pharmacist and residency program director at Ascension St. Francis Hospital in Milwaukee where he also serves as the primary cardiology preceptor. Ben’s primary practice area is on the cardiac-telemetry floor; his other practice areas include ICU, ED, and central pharmacy. Ben serves as the Wisconsin pharmacy representative for the Ascension Cardiovascular Expert Review Panel (ERP) where he contributes to the development of national initiatives (i.e. policy/procedure/protocol development) and provides input on national clinical inquiries related to cardiovascular therapies. Ben is a member of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists and the Pharmacy Society of Wisconsin. His clinical areas of interest include: management of venous thromboembolism, advanced heart failure management, cardiac core measure compliance, critical care, antimicrobial stewardship, and drug policy development.
