The mission of the Genesys Orthopedic Surgical Residency Program is to provide a consistent high quality educational experience for not only enrolled residents but all learners who participate in the program including students, internal medicine residents, family practice residents, podiatry residents, and emergency medicine residents. This program will provide a foundation for a lifetime of learning and practice of orthopedic surgery. The measure of this mission will be the production of graduates who exemplify the highest ideals of our profession. The program will excel in clinical service, education, and research while maintaining the highest ethical standards, providing compassionate healthcare services, and ensuring responsible stewardship of available resources.
The goal of this program is to provide the necessary training and education to resident physicians who desire to prepare themselves for the practice of Orthopedic Surgery. The program is set up on a five year basis. It is intended that the resident will be well qualified to handle all aspects of general Orthopedic Surgical procedures and practice at the end of residency training.
