Current Residents

I chose Ascension Saint Thomas West because I was confident it would provide the comprehensive learning experiences I looked for in my PGY1 residency, particularly aligning with my interests of critical care and infectious disease.  From my initial interview, the pharmacy team was incredibly welcoming and has consistently provided a supportive learning environment.  I am confident that this 12-month residency program will significantly contribute to my development as a clinical pharmacist. 

I chose Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital West because I can tell the culture here is great.  All of the preceptors are friendly and push me to learn as much as possible.  The hospital has a perfect blend of learning experiences.  I am particularly interested in the solid organ transplant and antimicrobial stewardship learning experiences that this residency program has to offer.  The team has continued to show dedication to my growth as a well-rounded pharmacist.

I chose Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital West for its diverse rotations, which perfectly align with my interests in critical care and infectious diseases, offering a robust foundation for my career goals.  Additionally, the pharmacy team creates a supportive and collaborative environment, making my transition away from home not only smooth, but also enriching, as I feel genuinely welcomed and valued within the team.

I chose Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital West because I was looking for a residency program that would both challenge and support me as I began my career as a clinical pharmacist.  Each preceptor has invested in me as a person and has truly wanted to know me, making me feel welcomed and valued.  In addition, this hospital and program offer so many opportunities that are not available everywhere, making it a great place to gain experience and further my pharmacy career.
