I was looking for a new experience in a new city after graduating from pharmacy school, and Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital West seemed like the perfect fit for me and my interests (critical care and cardiology). I was excited about the number of elective options Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital West had to offer for their residency program and the pharmacy staff were extremely kind and welcoming during my interview.

I chose Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital West due to my time spent here during my APPE's. The pharmacy staff along with other staff members at the hospital made you feel like family when you came to rotations each day. This made it my top choice for post graduate training. My interests are in Solid Organ Transplant and Endocrinology.

I chose Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital West due to all of the diverse opportunities provided to PGY1 residents. What really stood out to me about Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital West was the feeling I had after my virtual interview; the friendliness and warm approach of the preceptors and residency program coordinators, made me feel that this could be my new home. I'm looking forward to exploring my primary areas of interest, critical care and oncology, in the next year and continuing growing personally and professionally.

I worked with Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital West for three months as a pharmacy student and was impressed on many fronts. The passion for providing high quality patient-centered care was clear no matter where I looked - the pharmacy department and multidisciplinary care teams here at West share my desire to provide truly holistic patient care. It is my foremost goal to establish myself as a pharmacist that patients trust and look forward to see come into their room. Knowing what I know about Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital West, I am in the perfect place to achieve this as well as any other goal I set for myself.

I chose Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital West because of the culture and the preceptors. The preceptors are invested in the professional and personal development of their residents and provide a supportive environment for us to expand our clinical knowledge. The staff are so friendly and really feel like one big family. My pharmacy interests are solid organ transplant, oncology, and academia.

I chose to complete a PGY-1 pharmacy residency at Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital West because of the abundance of rotations that are made available to the residents. That, combined with the friendly atmosphere of mutual learning across all parts of the hospital, cemented my interest in the residency program. My areas of interest are oncology and solid organ transplant at this time. I have no doubt that this residency program is well equipped to train me with the knowledge and provide me with the experiences I need to pursue a PGY-2 in the future.
