Pharmacy Residency Program

About Us

The PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency was established in 1988. Accredited by American Society of Health-System Pharmacists in 1992, this 12 month, full-time program provides opportunities in clinical pharmacy services and pharmacy operations. The residency tailors the experience to each individual resident’s goals.

Purpose Statement

PGY-1 pharmacy residency programs build on the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) education and outcomes to contribute to the development of clinical pharmacists responsible for medication-related care of patients with a wide range of conditions, eligible for board certification, and eligible for postgraduate year two (PGY2) pharmacy residency training.
