Current Residents

Brehanna is a PGY2 Health-System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership (HSPAL) resident with clinical focus on the Ascension Rx team. Brehanna is driven by a passion for healthcare and a deep commitment to patient advocacy. She began her nursing career at Ascension Saint Thomas West Hospital, completing a nurse residency program, and later transitioned to Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital where she served as an intensive care nurse with a specialty in cardiovascular critical care. She has proudly served within Ascension hospitals across Middle Tennessee over the past eight years. Brehanna went on to pursue a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Belmont University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and PGY1 pharmacy residency at Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital. She is committed to advancing pharmacy practice through innovation, equity, and high-impact leadership across the healthcare continuum. She plans to pursue a leadership role upon completion of her program. 

Cecilia is the PGY1 Health-System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership (HSPAL) resident with a drive for optimizing pharmacy practice through collaboration and effective leadership.  Cecilia pursued her Doctor of Pharmacy degree in her home state, at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. There, she also completed the Rural Health Certificate Program to gain a deeper understanding of and focus on addressing healthcare disparities within rural populations across Tennessee. Cecilia is focused on developing her skills as a future pharmacy leader and maintains strong interests in medication safety, transitions of care optimization, and improving healthcare access in underserved and rural communities. She is especially looking forward to the opportunities presented during her PGY1 year to deepen her clinical understanding, aiming to apply this knowledge throughout the PGY2.
