Current Residents

Cecilia is the PGY2 Clinical Health-System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership (HSPAL) resident on the Ascension Rx team with a drive for optimizing pharmacy practice through collaboration and effective leadership.  Cecilia pursued her Doctor of Pharmacy degree in her home state, at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. There, she also completed the Rural Health Certificate Program to gain a deeper understanding of and focus on addressing healthcare disparities within rural populations across Tennessee. Cecilia is focused on developing her skills as a future pharmacy leader and maintains strong interests in medication safety, transitions of care optimization, and improving healthcare access in underserved and rural communities. She is looking forward to the opportunities for growth and leadership development presented during her PGY2 year.

Cassandra is the PGY1 Clinical Health-System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership (HSPAL) resident on the Ascension Rx team with a drive for advocating for innovation to make lasting impacts on the future of pharmacy practice. A Tennessee native, Cassandra earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree while simultaneously completing her Master of Business Administration at South College in Knoxville. During her time with South College, Cassandra held multiple leadership roles in national pharmacy organizations, where she discovered a passion for pharmacy leadership and the opportunity to influence patient care on a broader level. Cassandra is passionate about advancing patient care through optimizing medication-use processes while integrating clinical excellence, strategic leadership, and innovative health-system practices.
