“My PGY1 residency definitely helped prepare me for a clinical pharmacist position. I was exposed to many different areas of pharmacy and given many opportunities to learn. I was also able to teach, with the teaching experience option and exposure to teaching students while on rotations. I felt that the residency program had a good work/life balance which was important to me as well. Post-residency, I stayed on as a PRN cross-cover pharmacist filling in where needed until accepting my current role as a clinical pharmacist in the Anticoagulation Clinic.
