I chose Saint Thomas West because of the inpatient, outpatient, and longitudinal experiences available for residents, the reputation of this institution as a leader in cardiac care, and solid organ transplantation, and the support provided to residents by pharmacists and clinicians.  I believe that the rigorous training and mentorship opportunities at Saint Thomas West will provide me with the knowledge and skills to pursue a PGY2 in solid organ transplant or oncology and to excel as a clinical pharmacist.

As a Nashville native, I grew up associating Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital West with quality and compassionate care.  I am very proud to pursue my interests, such as critical care and infectious diseases, as a part of the pharmacy team.  The team was very welcoming from day one and has continued to show dedication to my growth as a well-rounded healthcare provider.

I chose Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital West because of the many learning opportunities made available to residents.  The residency program preceptors were so welcoming during my interview, I knew it was the right place for me.  The pharmacy staff treats one another like family and I couldn’t be happier to be completing my post graduate training here.  My interests are cardiology and solid organ transplant.

I chose Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital West because it offers diverse and comprehensive training opportunities in critical care, transplant, and infectious disease.  I wanted to ensure that I would receive specialized training as well as a challenging environment that would allow me to gain valuable experience in my areas of interest.  The key factors to my decision making  in choosing Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital West was the group of esteemed preceptors with expertise and commitment to teaching and mentorship.  I was excited about the opportunity to learn from these professionals, who could provide valuable guidance and support throughout my residency journey.

I chose Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital West due to the wide variety of opportunities that PGY1 residents were offered.  During my interview, I looked for a friendly atmosphere and a program to prepare me for my next pharmacy career.  The staff here were very welcoming and the interview felt more like a conversation versus an interview.  My professional interests include critical care, internal medicine, and hospital administration.
