Clinical HSPAL Residency Program Director's Welcome
Dear Prospective Applicant:
Thank you for your interest in our residency program. The selection of a residency program will be one of the most critical decisions you make during your pharmaceutical care training. We are thrilled that you are considering us for your next career venture.
The unique program at Ascension offers you the extraordinary opportunity to obtain outstanding administrative and clinical training in various aspects of pharmaceutical care, to a diverse patient population spread across the United States. Our program is dedicated to providing the resident with hands-on experience in a wide variety of settings.
The atmosphere is friendly and our ministry hospital leadership genuinely supports the comprehensive process we use for optimizing medication management processes across the system. This environment is complemented by collaboration with system physician, nursing and pharmacy leaders in our facilities around the nation.
What makes Ascension's 24-month residency program an exemplary place for learning is its commitment to clinical excellence in patient safety. We serve 110 hospitals at over 1,500 sites, covering greater than 18,000 acute care patient beds. We are a federally recognized PSO, and we strengthen this effort through a formal partnership with ISMP. Our national scope and stewardship of resources allow us to contribute nearly $2 billion annually in care of persons living in poverty and for community benefit.
We hope we have an opportunity to meet with you to show you our exceptional training program.
