Ascension St. John Hospital Subspecialty Elective Consult / Anesthesia

All Interns will spend one week in the anesthesia department. During this time they gain experience in intubation and airway management. You will also gain experience in the use of sedatives, management of anesthetics, and common procedures. The rest of the month is reserved for requested vacation time and/or elective. The subspecialty elective is either Nephrology, Infectious Disease or Hematology/Oncology.
