Ascension SE Wisconsin Hospital – St. Joseph Campus PGY1 Residency Program

Affectionaly known as "The Baby Hospital," Ascension St. Joseph is a community teaching hospital providing acute and subacute services in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with extensive outpatient services, a bustling emergency department, and nationally recognized maternity and critical care services.

Our hospital has been serving the community with compassion since 1879, with the pharmacy residency training program established in 2004. The Pharmacy Residency Program is headquartered at Ascension SE Wisconsin Hospital - St. Joseph Campus with resident training also conducted at another nearby hospital campus, Ascension SE Wisconsin - Elmbrook Campus, and an oncology infusion center. All three sites utilize the same electronic medical record, formulary and clinical service protocols. Residents have the opportunity to train at three facilities to gain exposure to specialty patient populations and unique site-specific pharmacy services. Drawing upon two hospitals and our partnership with Concordia University Wisconsin School of Pharmacy, each resident receives an individualized schedule targeted to achieve his or her personal goals and set the foundation for a rewarding career as a clinical pharmacist.
