Meet Our Preceptors

Angela Zivkovic, PharmD

originally from the Milwaukee area, earned her Doctor of Pharmacy at Midwestern University College of Pharmacy in Chicago in 2016. She completed a PGY1 pharmacy residency at Wheaton Franciscan – St. Joseph Hospital followed by a PGY2 Emergency Medicine Pharmacy Residency at SwedishAmerican – A Division of UW Health. During her PGY2, she received trauma training at Advocate Christ Medical Center and toxicology training at Illinois Toxikon and the Illinois Poison Center. Currently, Angela practices at All Saints in the area of emergency medicine. In her spare time, Angela likes to spend time with her family and her dog, attend soccer games in her community, and read.

Beth Buckley, PharmD, CDE

is a full-time faculty member and Professor of Pharmacy Practice at the Concordia University Wisconsin (CUW) School of Pharmacy, where she coordinates Applied Patient Care Lab 1, coordinates and delivers all content for Endocrine and Diabetes Pharmacotherapy, insulin pharmaceutics, and various other primary care topics. She has developed and maintains all the teaching in a Diabetes experience elective, and co-leads a cultural experience elective that includes mission work in Guatemala. She earned a B.S. in pharmacy and PharmD from the University of Wisconsin Madison. Her career in pharmacy includes experience in hospital, community and ambulatory care settings. Before coming to CUW SOP, her academic career started as a clinical assistant professor for the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin, where she taught pharmacotherapy in clinical practice to physicians in residency and participated in clinical research. She has been a clinical preceptor for students from UW Madison, Concordia University Wisconsin, and residents on academic rotations at the university. Beth is currently practicing as an ambulatory care clinical pharmacist in a family medicine physician office where she precepts students and residents while serving as a Certified Diabetes Educator and provider of medication therapy management in primary care via a collaborative practice agreement. She is the site principle investigator for previous and current multi-center clinical research trials, and maintains an active contribution to scholarship via several peer reviewed clinical publications, national and local presentations, and monthly contributions to the Wisconsin Academy of Family Physicians newsletter.

Committee and Workgroup Participation Includes: Chair of the CUW Intramural Grant Committee and member of the CUW taskforces that include Teaching and Learning, Interprofessional Education (IPE), and Drugs of Abuse. Within the School of Pharmacy (SOP), she has held chair of the Scholarship and Awards Committee, member of curriculum committee, student progress committee, and the assessment committee. She is an academic advisor to several students at the school, and co-advisor of the CUW SOP student writing club.

Professional Affiliations Include: American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy member, presenter at multiple meetings, and special interest group member. Beth also maintains membership and subgroup participation in the American Association of Diabetes Educators, the American College of Clinical Pharmacy, and the Greater Milwaukee College of Clinical Pharmacy. She is an active member of the Pharmacy Society of Wisconsin, including serving as a Medicaid reimbursement committee member and Wisconsin Pharmacy Quality Collaborative Clinical Advisory Group Core Team Member.

Emily Freier, PharmD, BCPS

earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Drake University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in 2021. She completed a PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency at Ascension All Saints in 2022 and attained Board Certification as a Pharmacotherapy Specialist in 2023. She has continued on to practice as a clinical pharmacist with Ascension All Saints Hospital where she staffs in central pharmacy, NICU, women's health, internal medicine, behavioral health, and outpatient cancer center. Additionally, Emily oversees sterile compounding compliance at All Saints and is an active member of the Ascension National Sterile Compounding Subcommittee. She completed the ASHP Compounded Sterile Preparations Certificate for Pharmacist and ASHP Sterile Compounding Designated Person Competency Training in 2025 and aspires to obtain board certification in sterile compounding. Outside of work she enjoys playing with her cats, crafting, and hiking.

Gregg Albright, BSPharm

graduated from Drake University College of Pharmacy in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy. Gregg has held staff and leadership positions within many areas of pharmacy including: chain and independent retail pharmacy, clinic, long-term care, infusion and hospital and, most recently ambulatory care. Gregg also has held positions at the manager and director levels. His current position is Chronic Disease Management Pharmacist with All Saints in Racine, where he assists patients transitioning home from the hospital to resolve drug-related problems. Gregg is also a preceptor for students from UW-Madison, Concordia University, Drake University and Creighton University. He is currently the Residency Program Coordinator for the All Saints PGY1 residency program.
Committee and workgroup participation includes: All Saints Heart Failure Quality Committee, All Saints Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Team, Ascension Wisconsin Graduate Pharmacy Education Council, Ascension Residency Optimization Workgroup, Ascension Wisconsin Therapeutic Affinity Group-Heart Failure, Ascension Wisconsin Chronic Care Model Lead Operations Team and the Wisconsin Nurses Association Team-based Care Advisory Committee.

His professional affiliations include the Pharmacy Society of Wisconsin and the American Society of Health System Pharmacists.  Gregg is past Chair of the Senior and Long-Term Care Section of PSW and has served on the Board of Directors of PSW. He remains involved with the Racine Community as Past-chair of the Racine Zoological Society Board of Directors, past President of the Health Care Network Board of Directors, a member of Holy Communion Lutheran Church and a participant for many years in the Racine Health Department’s spring and fall Medication Collection Day.

Jim Davis, BSPharm

earned his Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy from the University of Wisconsin - Madison in 1990. He began working at the Zablocki VA Medical Center with a special focus on Nutrition support and Pharmacokinetic dosing of antimicrobials, remaining there until the spring of 1996. In April of 1996, Jim joined Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare - All Saints as a staff clinical pharmacist and has remained there for the last 24 plus years. In 2009, he transitioned his role to full time Antimicrobial Stewardship Pharmacist. He has received a Certification in Antimicrobial Stewardship from SIDP.  Jim currently is a voting member of the National Ascension Healthcare Antibiotic Stewardship (AHAS) Committee and now serves Ascension Wisconsin as a Regional Lead Pharmacist in Antimicrobial Stewardship/Infectious Diseases.  Jim has precepted many students from UW-Madison, Concordia University and Creighton University. He served as a past chairman for the Quality Review Council for the UW School of Pharmacy from 2005-2008. Jim has lectured multiple times at the All Saints Regional Infectious Disease Conference on a variety of topics and has co-authored several peer reviewed journal articles.  He stays busy enjoying the outdoors with his wife and 3 boys.  

Kate Hefty, PharmD, BCPS

earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Drake University in 2014.  After graduation, she started her career as an inpatient clinical pharmacist at a small community hospital pharmacy in northern Illinois.  During this time, she had experience as the Clinical Pharmacy manager, organized the local P&T committee, participated in various hospital committees, precepted pharmacy students and pharmacy residents, managed medication formulary lists, assisted in Pyxis optimization, and obtained her Board Certification as a Pharmacotherapy Specialist in 2020.  In 2021, Kate joined Ascension All Saints team as a clinical pharmacist and transitioned into a lead pharmacist role in 2025.  She enjoys spending time out on the lake with her husband and two daughters, cooking, and going for walks with her dogs.

Kathryn Reesman, PharmD

earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Wisconin-Madison in 2001.  She has worked at All Saints throughout her career,  first starting as a hospital pharmacist before transitioning to ambulatory care in 2018.  Within ambulatory care Katie specializes in anticoagulation and diabetes management.  She enjoys working with both All Saints residents and also the PGY2 ambulatory care residents.  In her free time Katie enjoys running, traveling, and spending time outdoors with her 4 kids and husband. 

Kevin Peterson, PharmD, BCCCP

graduated from the Appalachian College of Pharmacy in 2013. He has been employed at Ascension All Saints hospital since graduation. Kevin's current position is the inpatient pharmacy supervisor and serves as the residency program director as well. Kevin's clinical interests include critical care where he serves as the primary preceptor for that rotation. Kevin serves on a variety of local and state committees including both the local (All Saints Hospital) and state Sepsis Committees, Multidisciplinary Mortality Review Committee, as well as a variety of pharmacist specific leadership and clinical committees.  Outside of work, Kevin is an active DJ at local events, bars, weddings etc... a lover of all things music related, a father and husband, and he enjoys watching a variety of sports. 

Laura Herbrechtsmeier, PharmD, MBA

graduated with a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in 1995 and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin – Parkside in 2001. She began her career at St. Luke’s Hospital as a pharmacy technician prior to starting pharmacy school. Immediately following graduation, Laura returned to St. Luke’s Hospital which at this point had been merged with St. Mary’s Medical Center to become what is now known as All Saints.

Laura is a Pharmacy Clinical Manager as well as the organizations Medication Safety Officer. As Medication Safety Officer, Laura has developed, implemented and maintained the drug library for the NICU infusion pumps, the Plum A+, and LifeCare PCA pumps used throughout All Saints. She is chair of the Medication Safety Team, the pharmacy representative for the Falls Team, leads the internal pharmacy audit of medication errors for the department, and reviews all medication occurrence reports for the organization. Laura completed the Practitioner in Residence Program through the Institute for Safe Medication Practices and is certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support.

Laura has served as a preceptor for students from UW – Madison and is currently an active member of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists and Medication Safety Officers Society.

Lisa Nielsen, PharmD

received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2008 from University of Wisconsin - Madison. Since graduation she has been a clinical pharmacist at All Saints in Racine, where she staffs in the Central Pharmacy and various satellites located on the general medical floors, Cardiovascular Institute, Women’s Health Pavilion/NICU, and the St. Lukes Behavioral Health Campus. She is involved in All Saint’s residency program as a Preceptor-in-Training and is a member of the Resident Advisory Committee. She is also a preceptor for UW-Madison pharmacy students.

Lisa has worked on various clinical projects including: C Diff protocol development, establishing a Code Blue reference card, and ketogenic diet medication evaluation program.

Michael Fantl, PharmD, BCPS

earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2019. He completed a PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in 2020 and attained Board Certification as a Pharmacotherapy Specialist in 2021. He now practices as a clinical pharmacist at Ascension All Saints Hospital with active interests in critical care, infectious diseases, and internal medicine. Additional career aspirations include obtaining certification in antimicrobial stewardship and becoming a more active preceptor. Outside of work, Michael enjoys golfing, cooking, live music, and attending sporting events.

Samiha Badwan, PharmD

earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from St. Louis College of Pharmacy in 2018. She completed a PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency at Ascension All Saints Hospital in 2020. She now practices as a clinical pharmacist in various areas including the main hospital for intermediate care and medical/surgical patients, the Women's Health Pavilion/NICU, the Cardiovascular Institute, and the Wisconsin Avenue campus for inpatient behavioral health. Samiha's residency project was the implementation of new order sets across Ascension Wisconsin for pneumonia treatment in adults. Outside of work, Samiha enjoys traveling to new places and spending time with her family.

Scott Amundson, PharmD

during his career, he worked at Ascension - All Saints Hospital as an inpatient pharmacist, staffing in various areas throughout the hospital including general medicine, neonatology, behavioral health, and the cancer center. During that time, he served as a preceptor for the residency program for the Introduction to Pharmacy Practice and the Internal Medicine rotations.  In 2022, Scott began working full time as an oncology pharmacist. He split his time between All Saints and Columbia St. Mary's Milwaukee until 2024. Now he works all of his time at All Saints. He serves in the All Saints residency program as the preceptor for the elective oncology rotation. He has also served as an APPE preceptor for an elective oncology rotation for students at Concordia University and the Medical College of Wisconsin.  Outside of pharmacy, Scott enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids, traveling, and watching sports.

Steven Suokko, PharmD

received his degree from the University of Wisconsin in 2003.  He currently serves as a preceptor in ambulatory care specializing in diabetes and anticoagulation care.  His teaching philosophy is to push residents' practice skills beyond their goals while maintaining a fun learning environment. In his free time Steve travels across the nation attending his children’s sporting events. He also enjoys  hunting, fishing, and maintaining an active lifestyle.
