Welcome to Ascension St. Vincent’s Radiography Program Admissions page. Ascension St. Vincent’s is dedicated to small class sizes and affordable tuition to provide exemplary education in Radiologic Technology. 

Applications are open from November 1st  to March 1st for each cohort.

Alexis Cran, MA, BSRS, R.T. (R)(ARRT) - Program Director

Mrs. Cran brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her role as the Radiologic Technologies Acting Program Director at Ascension St. Vincent’s Radiologic Technology Program. With a career spanning nearly 10 years, Mrs. Cran has diligently worked her way up the healthcare ladder, demonstrating a strong commitment to patient care and professional development.

Mrs. Cran's journey began in 2015 as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Ascension St. Catherine’s Laboure’ Manor, where she gained invaluable firsthand experience in patient care and healthcare operations. Building on this foundation, she pursued her education in Radiologic Technology at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida, graduating in 2018. This educational endeavor laid the groundwork for her subsequent achievements.

Continuing her pursuit of excellence, Mrs. Cran obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Radiologic Sciences (BSRS) from Northwestern State University of Louisiana in 2020, further solidifying her knowledge and skills in the field. Her commitment to lifelong learning and professional growth was evident when she obtained her Master of Arts (MA) in Career and Technical Education from the University of Central Florida in the Spring of 2024. This advanced degree undoubtedly enhances her ability to lead and educate future radiologic technologists effectively.

Furthermore, Mrs. Cran's dedication to her profession is highlighted by her board certification as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) in general Radiography (R), demonstrating her mastery of the core competencies and commitment to maintaining the highest standards of practice.

As the Program Director, Mrs. Cran is well-equipped to lead and inspire the next generation of radiologic technologists, leveraging her extensive knowledge, practical experience, and educational background to shape the program's curriculum and cultivate a learning environment conducive to student success. Her multifaceted expertise and passion for the field undoubtedly contribute to the program's ongoing success and the advancement of healthcare in the community.
