First Year Fellows
Omar Kandah, DO
Medical School Program: West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine
Residency Program: Grand Strand Medical Center
Omar Kandah graduated from West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, SC. He is originally from Metro-Detroit, where he was born and raised. Omar chose a career in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine because of the complexity, the diversity of the pathologies and patients we work with, the hands-on nature of the field, and the ability to work closely alongside multidisciplinary teams. At work, he enjoys taking extra time to guide patients and families through critical illness. In his free time, he enjoys traveling and exploring new places with his wife Amanda, experiencing new cultures and cuisine, as well as spoiling their cats. His interests within the medical field include resuscitation, hemodynamics, and improving healthcare communication with families during critical illness.
Gabriela Severiano, MD
Medical School Program: Ross University
Residency Program: Aurora Health
Gabriela was born and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota. She stayed local for undergrad and went to the University of Minnesota. Following undergrad, she worked doing research with the psychology department at the University of Minnesota, and worked at the University of Minnesota hospital in inpatient psychiatry before applying to medical school. She attended Ross University and completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Aurora Health in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She is happy to be staying in the midwest to continue her training in pulmonary critical care. In her free time she enjoys spending the day outdoors with her husband and young son, running, biking, or hiking. Her interests within the medical field continues to evolve as she furthers her training, but currently include pulmonary clinic, procedures, and difficulty patient/family conversations.
Second Year Fellows
Brandon Pearce, DO
Medical School Program: Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine
Residency Program: Ascension St. Vincent Internal Medicine
Brandon was raised in Central Indiana and plan on sticking around after fellowship. He attended undergrad at Purdue majoring in genetics followed by medical school at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Pennsylvania and completed his Internal Medicine training here at St. Vincent. In his free time he enjoys romping around with his wife and fat Labradors in addition to watching/playing/coaching basketball. Go Pacers! His interests within the medical field include point-of-care ultrasound, simulations, and clinical reasoning.
Kelly Rodman, DO
Medical School Program: Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine
Residency Program: Ascension St. Vincent Internal Medicine
Kelly was born and raised in Noblesville, Indiana. She received a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Neuroscience from Miami University in Ohio. Kelly attended medical school at Marian University, and completed her Internal Medicine residency at Ascension St. Vincent. In her free time, she enjoys biking on the Monon trail, cooking, and water skiing. Her interests within the medical field include OB critical care and medical education.

Megan Barnett, DO

Residency Program: Ascension St. Vincent
Megan was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana. She received her Bachelor of Arts degrees in both Biology and Spanish at Indiana University and attended medical school at Marian University then completed her Internal Medicine residency at Ascension St. Vincent. She is hoping to stay in the Indianapolis area after the completion of fellowship. Megan can see patients in both English and Spanish. In her free time, she enjoys baking, traveling, and taking her mini Goldendoodle on walks. Some of her professional interests include procedures, medical education, and end of life care/difficult family conversations.
Rachel Davis, DO
Medical School Program: Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine
Residency Program: AdventHealth Redmond
Rachel grew up in rural Southeast Tennessee. She earned her undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, CT, and attended medical school at PCOM-GA in Suwannee, GA. She completed her Internal Medicine residency training nearby at AdventHealth in Rome, GA. Her clinical interests include resuscitation, procedures, and mentorship within medical education. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Jake, and their three dogs.
