First Year Fellows

Omar Kandah, DO
Medical School Program: West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine
Residency Program: Grand Strand Medical Center

Omar Kandah graduated from West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, SC. He is originally from Metro-Detroit, where he was born and raised. Omar chose a career in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine because of the complexity, the diversity of the pathologies and patients we work with, the hands-on nature of the field, and the ability to work closely alongside multidisciplinary teams. At work, he enjoys taking extra time to guide patients and families through critical illness. In his free time, he enjoys traveling and exploring new places with his wife Amanda, experiencing new cultures and cuisine, as well as spoiling their cats.
