Our graduate medical education team is committed to fostering a dynamic, inclusive, and academically rigorous environment that shapes the next generation of healthcare leaders.

Our mission is to develop kind and compassionate physicians of diverse backgrounds to deliver excellent patient-centered care and to challenge them in their growth and development through innovation, scholarship, leadership and mentorship.

Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana, is a full-service hospital with 24/7 emergency care and level I trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, transplant center, and burn center. We deliver care for life-threatening injuries and illnesses. 

Ascension is one of the nation’s leading non-profit and Catholic health systems, with a Mission of delivering compassionate, personalized care to all, with special attention to persons living in poverty and those most vulnerable. In FY2024, Ascension provided $2.1 billion in care of persons living in poverty and other community benefit programs. 

At the heart of our mission is excellence in patient care, research, and medical education. We provide a diverse array of residency and fellowship programs that span multiple specialties, each with a focus on hands-on learning, evidence-based practice, and compassionate care. Our faculty are dedicated mentors who bring both clinical expertise and a passion for teaching, guiding our trainees as they navigate the challenges and rewards of medical practice.

Our Catholic health ministry is dedicated to spiritually centered, holistic care which sustains and improves the health of individuals and communities.
