Application Process

Candidates who would like to be considered for one of two positions in the Pulmonary Critical Care program (6 PCC fellows altogether) need to submit an application via the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).

Interviews are by invitation only and are generally offered to applicants with a combination of solid medical school performance, above average USMLE scores, and recent clinical experience in U.S. hospitals in which the student or physician had meaningful responsibility for patient management decisions. In addition, three letters of recommendation are preferred.

Applicants who are interested in applying should contact the MyERAS Web site. This is where you complete your application and personal statement, select programs to apply to, and assign documents to be received by those programs.

A complete application should include:

  • Complete an ERAS Common Application
  • USMLE Scores (Steps 1, 2, and 3 or equivalent)
  • Personal statement
  • At least 3 letters of recommendation two of which must be from Pulmonary and Critical Care Faculty
  • Medical School Transcript
  • ECFMG (if applicable)
  • Our institution only sponsors J-1 Visas
