2016 CLASS SUCCESS

Winners at American College of Physicicians Doctor’s Dilemna

As it is now tradition most of the Internal Medicine training programs in the state of Maryland met to compete for the Doctor’s Dilemma championship; the competition was held in February during ACP’s Maryland Chapter Annual Scientific Meeting. We are proud to announce that our program is the champion this year and will be representing Maryland at the upcoming national ACP meeting in the spring. Congratulations to our outstanding team: Siddarth Dugar (PGY3), Naresh Bhandari (PGY2), Rihab Sharara (PGY2), and Ji Yon Kwon (PGY1)!

GRADUATION 2013

Congratulations to all the graduates of the class of 2013! Our residents of the year Dr. Naresh Bhandari and Dr. Saquib Chaudhri, thank you for your dedication and all your hard work; congratulations also to the subspecialty teaching attendings of the year Dr. Shadi Barakat and Dr. Bernard Kim, your commitment to resident education and the residency has been of paramount importance in the ongoing improvement of the program.  Lastly but not least, congratulations to Dr. Robin Li who won the Golden Apple Award, Dr. Li has always been an huge supporter of the residents and the residency, she has helped shaped the outpatient experience into an enriching and fruitful one for all the residents.


MARYLAND ACP COMPETITION 2013

This year’s Annual Maryland Associates Meeting, sponsored by the American College of Physicians was once again held here at St. Agnes Hospital on May 16th, 2013 and it reached all time high attendance with well over 300 participants.  Residents from all the local Internal Medicine residency programs participated, including the armed forces, and presented a total of 250 posters and oral presentations in this well known state-wide competition. This year we once again reached an all time high of submissions and would like to congratulate all the residents for their commitment to academia and patient care.  On a special note our own Dr. Sapna Kuehl was honored with the C. Lockard Conley Award for her contributions to resident education and training and research.
