Mary Frances Donovan, D.O.
Mary Fran graduated from Midwestern University in Chicago and hails from Northbrook Illinois. She chose St. Vincent because it "had an academic feel which pushed me to grow more when I rotated here as a med student. It was also very evident how close the residents were with each other and how passionate the attendings were about teaching. I'm thrilled to be at a program with such a strong sense of community and so many faculty members who are invested in my training." When Mary Fran is away from residency life, she enjoys yoga, running, the culinary arts (charcuterie boards!!) and binge watching reality TV (one of her not-so-secret-now favorites is the Bachelor).
Elizabeth Hart, M.D.
Elizabeth ("Paige") graduated from the University of Louisville and her hometown is Princeton, Kentucky. Paige chose St. Vincent because she "wanted a program where I would be trained to be a competent and confident generalist. I also wanted a place that would have great exposure to subspecialties to be well versed in rural settings. Not to mention how wonderful all the staff, nurses and attendings are here-it really feels like home." Paige enjoys traveling (especially to visit her sister Kate! Paige aspires to travel to 30 countries by the time she turns 30), trying local restaurants, hiking and exploring the great outdoors. Paige is also known to be an amateur bourbon connoisseur (and yes she would be happy to elaborate on this).
Danielle Lanzdorf, D.O.
Danielle, a graduate of Des Moines University in Iowa, hails from St. Paul Minnesota. "With St. Vincent's focus on serving the underserved and high surgical volume, I knew I would learn to be both a compassionate and highly skilled physician. I also never stop being impressed by the culture of welcoming and community here. It really does feel like I'm with family." Outside of residency, Danielle enjoys board games, hiking, reading and spending time with her husband, John, son, Ezran, and her beloved family feline, Ebby.
Jessica Meichtry, M.D.
Jessica ("Jess") is a Brookfield Wisconsin native who graduated from Central Michigan University. Outside of residency, she enjoys sushi, live music, cooking and the Bachelor (#bachelornation!). Jess chose St. Vincent "because of the well rounded, comprehensive training and the ability to connect with patients on a deeper level through the Centering Program. I immediately felt supported by the faculty, residents and staff."
Nicole Walden, D.O.
Nicole ("Niki") graduated from Kansas City University and hails from St. Louis, Missouri. "I rotated at St. Vincent during my 4th year of med school on the High Risk OB Service and fell in love with the program. The faculty and residents are hands on with teaching and involve you in patient care as a medical student. There is a diverse patient population and large patient volume. The High Risk Service in particular is very interesting and a great place to learn as a med student. The culture here is very supportive and everyone is willing to help. I was confident I would not only receive a great education and training but also have fun along the way." Outside of residency, Niki enjoys gardening, hot yoga, Harry Potter and being a proud Dog Mom to Rottweiler/German shepherd mix, Meyer. Niki also enjoys spending time with her fiance, Pedro, who recently joined her in Indianapolis to complete his residency in anesthesia at St. Vincent & IU. He is in his current intern year as a TY resident here at St. Vincent.

Jennifer Choe, M.D.
Jennifer ("Jen") is from Fort Lee, NJ and Seoul, South Korea and graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine. Outside of residency, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Alex, who is a current Internal Medicine resident at IU, spoiling her furbabies (Maggie and Kay), traveling, crocheting and eating yummy things! Jen chose St. Vincent because she knew she would get exceptional training and be challenged in a supportive environment, while working with a great group of residents and faculty!
Taylor Deist, M.D.
Taylor graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine and is from Evansville, Indiana. Taylor chose St. Vincent because she loved the resident culture and worked with excellent attendings, particularly MFMs, during her medical school rotation. “It was very evident that the residents care and support each other, have great relationships with attendings, and create an environment where you can learn and thrive." Taylor describes the program as community-based with strong academic ties-the best of both worlds! Taylor enjoys spending time with her husband, Chris, weightlifting, running, and weekend farmers markets.
Haley Gesse, D.O.
Haley graduated from Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Indianapolis, Indiana and is originally from Michigan City, Indiana. She chose St. Vincent for residency because of the "family" atmosphere she experienced during her rotation as a medical student. "All of the residents and attendings I met provided a welcoming feeling and I instantly felt at home." Haley also loves how St. Vincent is a smaller program, but she has access to top-notch faculty! She thinks Indianapolis is a great city as well because it has all the amenities of a big city with a small-town feel. She is extremely excited to spend her next 4 years at St. Vincent! In her free time, Haley enjoys binge watching shows on Netflix, researching the next tattoo she wants, and playing with her cat named Bovie.
Megan Gray, D.O.
Megan is from Lafayette, Indiana and graduated from Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Megan rotated at St. Vincent as a 4th year medical student. "I wanted to go to a residency program that would teach me to be a better physician. During my rotation, I assisted with the care of high acuity patients and was surrounded by so many great supportive physicians. Everyone was very welcoming! I also love Indy (which is absolutely amazing) and being close to family and friends.” Megan enjoys outdoor activities, cooking, concerts, traveling, and spending time with her girlfriend, Arielle, and her cat, Maribelle.
Kathryn Capone, M.D.
Kathryn (“Katie”) is from Harrison Township, MI and graduated from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. Katie enjoys cooking, riding her Peloton (biking), amateur bartending, and listening to podcasts. When outside of residency, she spends time with her husband, David, and her new golden retriever puppy, Maya! Katie chose St. Vincent due to the “warmth and openness” of the residents and faculty. “In our ever-evolving careers as OBGYNs, I know the team at St. Vincent advocates for women and their healthcare. I’m thrilled to be part of this journey with my inspiring co-residents and faculty.”

Mary Conte, M.D.
Mary is from Cincinnati, OH and graduated from Saint Louis University School of Medicine. Outside of residency, she enjoys exploring with her husband, Ben, baking bread, and cooking! Mary chose St. Vincent because she knew she would get exceptional training in various areas of OB/GYN, and be welcomed into a true team of health professionals with a great group of residents and faculty! “I found that I loved community programs, but wanted a place that had all those perks and had excellent training in GynOnc, MFM, REI, and Urogyn. St.Vincent had it all!”
Anne Lasher, M.D.
Anne graduated from University of Kentucky College of Medicine and is from Paducah, Kentucky. Anne chose St. Vincent because she felt how deeply the faculty cares about the success and well-being of every resident. “Every resident expressed how supported they feel by all staff, have great relationships with attendings, and create an environment that fosters learning and skill development." Anne is an Orange Theory enthusiast, loves to travel and read in her free time, and enjoys spending time with her family, her cat, and her dog!
Cathryn McBride, D.O.
Cathryn (“Catie”) graduated from Lincoln Memorial University- DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine and is originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She chose St. Vincent for residency because of the kind, open, and welcoming nature of the residents. "It was evident to me how deeply the faculty invested in creating meaningful relationships with the residents, helping us become highly competent and compassionate physicians." Catie is excited to be a part of a program full of collaboration, mutual respect, and resident well-being. In her free time, Catie enjoys gardening, cooking, traveling, and walking with her two dogs Louis and Madison.
Mackenzie Ryan, D.O.
Mackenzie is from Erie, Illinois and graduated from Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Mackenzie rotated at St. Vincent as a 4th year medical student. "During my rotation, the residents took the time to get to know me on a personal level and I felt the sense of community I was looking for in a program. I knew St. Vincent would be a great fit!” In her free time, Mackenzie enjoys reading, going to concerts, and playing the ukulele. .
Courtney Starck, D.O.
Courtney is from Indianapolis, IN and graduated from Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Courtney enjoys reading and watching football. When outside of residency, she spends time with her family and friends, and playing with her dog Prater! Courtney chose St. Vincent because she loved the camaraderie amongst the residents and was excited about the high volume of patients seen on a daily basis and staying close to family and friends!

Abigail Enright, D.O.
Abigail ("Gail") is an Indiana native who graduated from Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Outside of residency, she enjoys pickleball, tennis, walks on the Monon, reading and traveling. Gail chose St. Vincent "because she immediately felt the camaraderie among the residents. She also appreciated the close-knit relationships with the faculty and their investment not only in the residents' training but also in their personal well-being.” St. Vincent has a small- program feel with big-program opportunities and I am so excited to learn and grow here over the next 4 years!”
Kaila Herold, M.D.
Kaila graduated from the Medical College of Wisconsin and her hometown is Longmont, CO. Kaila chose St. Vincent because she "felt a very strong sense of support and community among the residents and faculty, which resonated with her on day one. She was also attracted to the high-volume comprehensive training and program’s strong history of generalists!" Kaila enjoys weight training, cycling, reading, reality tv, and visiting hot springs.
Samantha McCarty, M.D.
Samantha (“Sam”), a graduate of Indiana University School of Medicine, hails from Zionsville, Indiana. "It was so obvious that all the residents are great friends outside of work, which is something I was really looking for in a program. The residents I met through the match process were ones I could look up to and would be lucky to learn from!" Outside of residency, Sam enjoys reading, hiking, playing piano, and playing fetch and training her new puppy Nyx.
Stella Protopapas, M.D.
Stella is from New Haven, Ct and graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine. Stella enjoys growing vegetables, hiking, hosting parties, and dancing. . When outside of residency, she spends time with her husband, Wed, and her English Bulldog, Walter! Stella chose St. Vincent due to the “easy-going nature of the residents and faculty, as well as the high surgical volume available”. “I would be supported, but continuously pushed to improve my skills as an OB/GYN, and as someone who wants to work in a sustainable healthcare administration, it was very exciting to me to work for a hospital system that has already pledged carbon neutrality for 2040, a rarity in the US “
Deanna Taiym, D.O.
Deanna graduated from Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine and hails from Chicago, IL. My decision to pursue residency at Ascension St. Vincent was strongly influenced by my rotation experience during my fourth year of medical school. I sought a program that would allow me to be most confident in my surgical abilities after training. The exceptional skills of the residents were not the only aspect that impressed me. The sense of warmth and camaraderie among the residents made me feel welcomed. This inclusive and supportive atmosphere is a reflection of the program's commitment to fostering a positive learning environment." Outside of residency, Deanna enjoys cooking, spending time with family, being outdoors (specifically playing tennis, nature walks, and time on the beach), and finding the best matcha latte in town!
