Ascension St. Vincent’s Mission Statement:

Our Catholic health ministry is dedicated to spiritually centered, holistic care, which sustains and improves the health of individuals and communities. Cardiovascular Technology Program’s Mission Statement
Ascension St. Vincent’s Riverside Cardiovascular Technology Program is dedicated to providing meaningful learning and preparation of qualified Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialists. The program mission allows our future RCIS professionals to provide quality health care services to the community, thereby enabling the students to achieve their expectations and attain their full professional potential.
Goals
Cognitive (knowledge)

ability to read, write, communicate, and understand the English language, both verbally and nonverbally, with patients, family members, healthcare personnel, and faculty

ability to explain the procedure to the patient, obtain medical history from the patient or other healthcare personnel

Psychomotor (skills)

ability to demonstrate hand-eye coordination for manipulation of equipment using fine and gross motor skills
