Applicant Process

Applicants must have a minimum of an Associate Degree with a GPA of 3.0 or higher, with successful completion of the following prerequisite college level courses

  • Anatomy and Physiology 1 & 2

  • Medical Terminology (for the healthcare workforce)

  • College Algebra

  • Introduction to Physics or Physics for Liberal Arts

  • Communication Skills (English Composition, Speech, or Communications)

 

 

The following must be submitted by the application deadline, March 1st

  • Application

  • 3 reference forms

  • All high school and college transcripts

  • Resume

  • Copy of current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers by the American Heart Association (AHA)

  • Nonrefundable check or money order application fee ($25.00) made out to Ascension St. Vincent’s

  • Mail official transcripts to the address below. All official transcripts that are mailed must be sealed by the institution and the seal must be intact upon submission

  •  Hand delivered transcripts are accepted as long as the transcript is sealed by the institution and the seal is intact upon submission

  • Request digital copies from sites such as Parchment.com

 

 

How to submit applications and fees:

  • Please only submit personal checks or money orders made out to Ascension St. Vincent’s. In the memo line, please include Cardiovascular Technology Program

    • WE DO NO ACCEPT CASH PAYMENTS OF ANY KIND

  • Applications and fees may be hand delivered to the Program Director

    • Please bring it to Ascension St. Vincent’s Riverside Medical Imaging Department located on the first floor in the hospital. Let the associate at the front desk of the Medical Imaging Department know the reason you are here.

    • Please make sure that the envelope is sealed, with your name and phone number, and ATTN: Amy Higginbotham

  • Applications and fees may be mailed.

    • It is recommended that you receive a U.S. Mail “return receipt request”

    • Applicants may also email the Program Director to ensure receipt of application and 

      fees.

Please ensure that all aspects of the Application are completed correctly and accurately to avoid delays in processing your application. All required documents of the Application must be completed and collected to be considered for the interview process.

Reference Form

Applicants need to have 3 professional or educational references completed on their behalf. Family and Friend references will not be accepted. 

You may send the link for this page to your reference and direct them to the link below, or you may email the Program Director, Amy Higginbotham, and have the program request the reference on your behalf. If you would like the program to request the reference for you, please send an email to amy.higginbotham@ascension.org

The subject line needs to state: Reference Form Request - (Insert your name here) and the body of the email must be the name of the requested reference, your relationship to the reference provider, and their email address.

Foreign Educated Applicants

Applicants educated in foreign countries are welcomed to apply to the program. However, candidates must have completed all of the programs general education requirements through regionally accredited American colleges and universities. No foreign academic work will be considered toward the general education requirements. Foreign transcripts or the equivalent domestic evaluation of foreign transcripts (ECE for example) are not required.
