For Residents

Many opportunities exist at Ascension St. Vincent to supplement your residency experience: Weekly continuing education; an archive of online skills curriculum; and personal and professional growth and development.
The Surgical Residency Program director and coordinator have an open-door policy. We are here to support your professional development and personal growth and well-being.
It is well documented that medical residents in training are at increased risk for burnout. Talk to us about your work-life balance. Let us help you identify time and stress management skills that can help. Our focus is on the needs of the whole person. At Ascension St. Vincent, our “Caring Spirit” means healing body, mind, and spirit.
