Application Process
Application Criteria
- We accept three, categorical residents per year.
- We accept applications only through ERAS (Electronic Residency Application Process). We are unable to accept any documents via fax or email. There are no pre-match positions available.
- Applications are accepted through October 31st.
- Interviews are by invitation only and will be offered via email from the Program Coordinator.
- Interviews are conducted in November, December, and January.
- Current senior residents and teaching faculty are actively involved in the interview process and final selection.
- We accept USMLE and/or COMLEX. All exams must be passed within 2 attempts; passing Step/COMLEX 1 and 2 results are required prior to February 1st.
- All applications with passing scores are screened for interviews; however, the average Step I and Step II scores of current residents is 220.
- Three letters of recommendation, in addition to a letter from the Surgical Chair (if applicable), are preferred.
- All ECFMC certification steps need to be completed before the Match results are due.
- We only accept J-1 Visas.
- Applicants need a minimum of 3 months U.S., hands-on, inpatient clinical experience. More than 3 months increases your chances of being selected for an interview. We do not consider observerships or research experience as clinical experience.
- We do not provide observerships.
