Statement of Purpose
Saint Thomas Emergency Medical Services (STEMS) is a hospital based ambulance service and event medicine company providing exceptional patient care, unmatched customer service and a full spectrum of medical transport services for Middle Tennessee. Our mission parallels that of Saint Thomas Health.
Saint Thomas Health Mission
Rooted in the loving ministry of Jesus as healer, we commit ourselves to serving all persons, with special attention to those who are poor and vulnerable. Our Catholic Health Ministry is dedicated to spiritually-centered holistic care, which sustains and improves the health of individuals and communities. We are advocates for a compassionate and just society through our actions and words.
The Daughters of Charity Health Ministry is the foundation of Saint Thomas Health that advances and strengthens the healing mission of the Catholic Church through actions, influences and ideas. One way we assist our communities is to provide educational opportunities to area healthcare providers. The Critical Care EMT-P course is an example of that commitment to all EMS providers in our area. With much effort on the part of the instructors, physicians and all whom are involved with this course, we feel that this can be a premier experience for the student to expand their skill set, and gain intricate knowledge on the safe and effective treatment and care for critically ill and injured patients that they encounter.
