Why I chose St. Vincent: I chose PMCH because it is a smaller, close knit program and the program sets you up for success with mentors from day one.
Medical School: American University of Antigua College of Medicine
Why I chose St. Vincent: I chose PMCH because I wanted to be at a program with a small, close-knit group of supportive residents and faculty, while also being at a place where I will be exposed to a wide variety of pathology. During the interview season, it was evident to me that this was a program filled with people that will be supportive and caring enough to help me become the most well-rounded pediatrician!

Why I chose St. Vincent: I chose Peyton Manning Children's Hospital after the resident social and the interview, I knew I couldn't find a better program. Everyone was so welcoming and I knew I would find my forever friends and my second family among the residents, leadership, and staff. Also with my interest in neonatology, I knew the training in the NICU here would be impossible to beat. I couldn't be happier to call Indy and PMCH my new home!

Why I chose St. Vincent: I chose Peyton Manning because of its tight-knit community, exceptional pediatric training, and location in a great city. It was important for me to not just be a number in a sea of residents (especially coming from abroad), but to have a more familial residency experience. I valued that at PMCH residents get to know the attendings and residents have each other’s backs. I was also drawn to PMCH because it is a free-standing children’s hospital with a pediatric ED and level 4 NICU that serves a diverse group of patients in Indianapolis and the surrounding area. With its many international cuisines, ample outdoor activities, and high standard of living, Indy is truly a hidden gem!

Everyone seemed to genuinely get along and made it clear that the PMCH faculty were all just as supportive and go above and beyond to teach and mentor.

Why I chose St. Vincent: I chose PMCH because of the high acuity care and close-knit staff and residents. When I was looking at programs for residency, I felt so at peace when I thought of spending my next three years at PMCH. It is truly the best of both worlds; a community feel with high-level care! Additionally, when I rotated at PMCH as a medical student, I saw how much the attendings cared about making the residents better physicians and that it was a safe and healthy learning environment. Without a doubt, this has held true!
