Program Overview
The Ascension St. Vincent Indianapolis Anesthesia Residency Program
Ryan Harris, MD:
Hello and welcome to our Ascension St. Vincent Indianapolis Anesthesia Residency webpage. We are honored to have you interested in our program. With a newly ACGME accredited residency, we have created a top notch training program that is based only on our residents' needs. Every aspect of this residency program is based on the goal to maximize the growth and learning experiences of the physician trainee. This is only possible because the program was created not out of need, but instead out of the desire to train our next generation of physician anesthesia providers. From a flexible OR schedule designed to strengthen your weakness and boost your interests, to a vacation schedule that can be generated mostly on the fly. At our institutions, we have no advanced providers that will detract from your learning experience. With a smaller cohort of residents, trainees will have consistent faculty that will allow familiarity and optimize growth. These core faculty have a wide range of specializations and fellowships including high risk obstetrics, chronic pain, regional pain, pediatrics, neuroanesthesia, political advocacy, and hospital leadership. The primary leaders of this residency have been hand chosen for their clinical strength, teaching skills, specialization, and the ability to generate amazing community based anesthesiologists. At the heart of the surgical suites here at Ascension St. Vincent Indianapolis, is a large private practice anesthesia group, Northside Anesthesia Services, and with Ascension St. Vincent we have spared no effort in designing an amazing residency experience. Please look around the webpage, don’t hesitate to reach out with questions and interest. I am happy to talk more about our amazing program!
My Best,

- Train physician scholars that will ask questions and seek answers as a catalyst for continued growth and improvement.
