Meet our Residents
Class of 2025

Albert “AJ” Brougham, MD
Medical School: Indiana University School of Medicine, Indianapolis, IN
Transitional Year Residency: Ascension St. Vincent, Indianapolis, IN
Why Anesthesia: When in medical school, there were a few things I learned about myself. I knew I enjoyed being in the OR, I knew I liked doing procedures, I knew I really enjoyed physiology, and I knew I needed to be in a specialty that provided immediate feedback. When looking at different specialties, Anesthesiology checked off all of those boxes.
Fun Fact: I have one kidney
What I enjoy doing in my free time: Cooking, reading, hiking, playing guitar, lifting weights, and running

Chelsey L. Arvin, DO
Medical School: Marian University Wood College of Osteopathic Medicine, Indianapolis, IN
Transitional Year Residency: Ascension St. Vincent Transitional Year, Indianapolis, IN
Why Anesthesia: Nothing else in medicine really grabbed me the way anesthesia did. It was the one place where I felt fully locked in, the entire time. Every case brings something new, and I like the challenge of having to think and adjust in real time.
Fun Fact: I recently summited my first peak in Olympic National Park and found a new love for mountaineering.
What I enjoy doing in my free time: I love getting creative with my homemade desserts and not following recipes. I also enjoy exploring new places, whether it’s somewhere across the world or hidden spots close to home.

Imtiaz Imam, DO
Medical School: West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine, Lewisburg, WV
Transitional Year Residency: Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital, Darby, PA
Why Anesthesia: I chose this field because of my interests in physiology, pharmacology, and doing hands-on procedures. I always knew I would get bored of simply thinking about medicine without putting it into any tangible action.
Fun Fact: I have an obsession over diet, eating whole foods, and living a nontoxic lifestyle.
What I enjoy doing in my free time: Training boxing, lifting weights and going for hikes.
