St. Vincent’s Postgraduate Year Two (PGY2) Critical Care Pharmacy Residency Program is designed to develop a well-rounded independent critical care practitioner able to provide high-level clinical services in a variety of ICU settings.

The Department of Pharmacy Services is committed to delivering high quality pharmaceutical care by providing a broad scope of services that meet the needs of the patients, the medical community of St. Vincent's and the organization.

With the advancements in technology and the ever-changing medical field, it is our belief that the establishment of patient-oriented pharmacy services provided by skilled pharmacy practitioners is an integral part of the medical care provided at St. Vincent's.

The department assumes the inherent responsibility for establishing and maintaining comprehensive, accurate and efficient drug distribution services. Pharmacy seeks to ensure the rational, safe and judicious use of medications through professional vigilance, an active Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee and the provision of drug information and educational services to the professional staff of St. Vincent's.

Finally, we are dedicated to the continual development of progressive and innovative pharmacy services beyond the currently acted standards of contemporary pharmacy practice. It is our goal to lead St. Vincent's HealthCare and the pharmacy profession into the future by establishing new benchmarks in healthcare.
