Ascension St. Vincent's Southside PGY1 Residency Program
The PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program is designed to develop advanced knowledge and skills for pharmacy clinicians to practice independently in the acute and ambulatory care setting.
PGY1 Residency Program
Required Rotations (4 weeks each)

- General Medicine I (Acute Care)
- General Medicine II (Acute Care)
- Community Practice (Outpatient)
- Cardiology (Outpatient)
- Endocrinology (Outpatient)
- Primary Care (Outpatient)
- Pharmacy Administration (Acute Care/Outpatient)
Electives (4 weeks each)
- Antimicrobial Stewardship (Acute Care)
- Critical Care (Acute Care)
- Obstetrics (Acute Care)
- Oncology* (Acute Care)
- Population Health (Outpatient)
- Pulmonology (Outpatient)
- Rheumatology (Outpatient)
* Rotation offered at Ascension St. Vincent's Riverside based on their availability.
Other elective learning experiences may be developed based on resident interest and preceptor availability.

Staffing Requirements
16 hours per month
One major and 2 minor holidays
Staffing is a combination of inpatient and outpatient shifts.
