The PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program is designed to develop advanced knowledge and skills for pharmacy clinicians to practice independently and to excel in clinical service, teaching, and research in the acute care setting. 

Application Deadline

Completed applications must be submitted by 11:59 PM EST on January 4, 2026

All applicants to St. Vincent's  Riverside PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Programs must be:

  • Authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Graduate of an Accredited Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited Doctor of Pharmacy degree program before the start of the residency program
  • Eligible for licensure in the state of Florida and should be licensed prior to the start of the program
  • Employable as associates at Ascension St. Vincent's (Prospective residents must pass a criminal background check, drug screen, and health screening.) 

Positions are only offered through the ASHP Resident Matching Program and only accepts applications through PhORCAS. St. Vincent's agrees that no person from the residency program will solicit, accept or use any ranking-related information from any residency applicant.

  • Letter should speak to professional goals and how our program will help reach those goals

Curriculum vitae

  • Include all scheduled APPE rotations with preceptor names

Three letters of recommendation

  • References should speak to the candidate's application of clinical skills
  • References from hospital clinical pharmacists are preferred
  • A letter separate from the PhORCAS system is not required

College of pharmacy transcripts

  • Undergraduate transcripts not required
