Ascension St. Vincent's Riverside Residency Programs
Program History
The St. Vincent’s Riverside Pharmacy Residency PGY1 Program was established in 2006. In 2017, we expanded by providing a PGY2 program in critical care. We currently offer four PGY1 positions and one PGY2 critical care position that are fully accredited by the American Society of Health System Pharmacists (ASHP). Our residency programs are customized to each resident's career goals and are designed to develop advanced knowledge to provide high level pharmaceutical care. We have dedicated preceptors that have received certification in a variety of Board of Pharmacy Specialties including: critical care, infectious diseases, nutrition support, and pharmacotherapy. In addition, we have a well developed resident research program with 15 research studies published in peer reviewed journals. Our department is committed to providing an excellent post-graduate pharmacy residency training environment while developing the pharmacy leaders of the future.
