Radiography Observations

Ascension St Joseph is a patient-first organization committed to promoting, restoring and maintaining the health of our patients. We believe radiography observations  play a key role in achieving our vision for health care for all patients.  Radiography observations can be a great way to learn more about the day to day experience of radiologic technologists.

• Radiography observations are not part of the application process

• Radiography observation experiences are typically scheduled for 4 hours in the morning, Monday – Thursday, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

• Students are encouraged to complete their observation experience prior to submitting their application

• A verification of the radiography observation experience will be provided.

• You will be interacting with our patients during this observation experience, so it’s important to appear clean, neat and professionally dressed. The following attire is recommended:
            Dress pants
            Appropriate shirt or top
            Shoes that fully enclose the foot
            Jeans are not acceptable

• Name

• Complete and updated immunization records

• Proof of a negative TB test within the last 12 months

When all documentation is receive, times and dates will be scheduled.
