Mission Statement and Goals

The mission statement of Ascension All Saints School of Radiologic Technology states:

“Ascension All Saints School of Radiologic Technology is committed to preparing and graduating individuals to be exceptional, caring and compassionate radiographers by providing a safe and creative learning environment that promotes critical thinking and lifelong learning.”

Goals

The Ascension All Saints School of Radiologic Technology is committed to providing an education for the student radiographer keeping the following goals in mind:

1. The student will acquire the necessary skills to perform as an entry level Radiologic Technologist.


Student learning outcomes:
a. The student will be able to set appropriate technical factors.
b. The student will properly position patients.
c. The student will adhere to standard radiation protection methods.

2. The student will be able to communicate effectively.

Student learning outcomes:
a. The student will develop proper usage of medical terminology.
b. The student will be able to communicate effectively in written form.
d. The student will demonstrate effective oral communication skills.

3. The student will exhibit critical thinking skills in a clinical environment.

Student learning outcomes:
a. The student will be able to make modifications to accommodate adverse patients.
b. The student will be able to analyze images.
c. The student will be able to respond to a variety of situations.

4. The student will demonstrate professional behavior and develop habits that promote life-long learning.

a. The student will maintain professionalism in the clinical setting.
b. The student will summarize educational experiences.
c. The student will advocate for the profession
