Simulation
We are fortunate at St. Vincent Hospital to have access right here on our campus to the new $18 million, 45,000 square foot state-of-the-art William K. Nasser MD Healthcare Education and Simulation Center – one of the largest of its kind in the country. Our residents are introduced to the Simulation Center from day 1 during orientation - where they participate in skills and sim sessions meant to help prepare them for their entry into residency. We also hold simulations at least once a month for our residents on an alternating basis to review skills paramount to their success both on the wards and in the ICU as well as in the clinic. Our residents also take advantage of the Sim Center and its resources to practice skills that are specific to their own individual growth and practice including POCUS.
