How to Apply

The Ascension Saint Alexius Vascular Surgery Fellowship offers one (1) position per year on an August–July cycle. All applications are handled through the Electronic Residency Application Services (ERAS) (program number: 4501644001).

Application requirements

  • Successful completion of a general surgery residency program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)
  • Complete ERAS application
  • Three (3) letters of recommendation (one must be from your general surgery residency's program director)
  • Personal statement
  • United Sates Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) or Comprehensive Osteopathic Medical Licensing Examination (COMLEX) scores
  • ABS In-Training Examination (ABSITE) scores
  • Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) certificate, if applicable

Interview process

Complete applications will be reviewed through the end of January. After careful consideration and review, a virtual and/or in-person interview will be granted. Applicants selected to interview will be notified of the available dates in early January.

Interviews will be conducted virtually through Zoom.

Application Timeline

ERAS applications are due no later than January 31.
