Eileen H. Kim, MD

Medical School: Joan & Sanford I. Weill Medical College of Cornell University
Residency: Rush University Medical Center (Internal Medicine)
Fellowship: Rush University Medical Center (Critical Care)
About Me: I was born in Brooklyn, New York, and grew up in Irvington, New York. I graduated from Columbia University with a double major in comparative literature and political science before deciding to pursue medicine. After medical school, I moved to Chicago for residency in internal medicine and fellowship in critical care, both at Rush University Medical Center.
Why Ascension Resurrection: It is the best of all worlds: a busy community hospital with a structured fellowship curriculum. As the closest hospital to O'Hare International Airport, where else can you meet the diverse spectrum of patients that you care for here?
Andrea

Andrea M. Lee, MD

Medical School: Southern Illinois University School of Medicine
Residency: Georgetown University (Obstetrics & Gynecology)
About Me: I have practiced as an OB/GYN for more than 20 years in community health clinics and as a hospitalist. Over the past several years, I have developing knowledge and skill in the use of holistic and non-traditional modalities of care such as herbal and Eastern medicine, nutrition, and mindfulness-based stress reduction.
Why Ascension Resurrection: I became interested in palliative care a few years ago when I was searching for a practice of medicine that better aligned with my philosophy in caring for patients. I found palliative care can provide this for me, with a focus on caring for the whole patient — body, mind and spirit — and the aim of care to enable the highest quality of life.
