Ascension Saint Mary - Chicago

Build on your expertise from your doctorate of pharmacy (PharmD) education and Post-Graduate Year 1 (PGY-1) pharmacy residency with the PGY-2 ambulatory care pharmacy residency at Ascension Saint Mary - Chicago.

This structured 12-month program continues your post-graduate education and expands on your existing knowledge base. Required rotations include:

  • Ambulatory leadership/management
  • Anticoagulation clinic
  • Longitudinal - pharmacotherapy clinic
  • Oncology
  • Orientation
  • Pharmacotherapy clinic (Ascension Saint Mary - Chicago and Ascension Saint Francis)
  • Population health
  • Research
  • Specialty pharmacy
  • Elective rotations, including transitions of care, multidisciplinary primary care and cardiology

The resident may serve as primary preceptor of students and/or PGY-1 residents. Completion of a teaching certification through our affiliation with Midwestern University are among your additional options.
