Anthony J. Dragun, MD
Hometown: Midland, TX
Undergraduate: The University of Texas at Austin
Medical School: The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center

Dr. Dragun was born and raised in Midland, Texas, a small town in the oil producing Permian Basin region of the state. He attended undergrad at UT Austin, where he studied chemical engineering, chemistry, and business before taking a job with ExxonMobil as a reservoir engineer after graduation. Deciding that sitting behind a desk was not for him, Dr. Dragun attended medical school at UT Southwestern in Dallas, where he became interested in neurosurgery and was involved in leadership of several local and national organizations. He has a particular passion for education and career
readiness, and served on the University of Texas System Board of Regents his fourth year, representing over 250,000 students at a statewide level. Outside of work, Dr. Dragun enjoys anything outdoors, mostly hiking, running, skiing, and camping with his fiancée, playing piano, and reading about 20th century world history. He is beyond excited to be part of the inaugural neurosurgery residency class at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital, and to train with the incredible Goodman Campbell/ASV team in Indianapolis.

Geoffrey R. O’Malley, Jr., MD

Hometown: Chatham, NJ

Undergraduate: Boston College

Medical School: Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine

 Dr. O’Malley was born in Evanston, IL and raised in Northern New Jersey. He is a 2021 alumnus of Boston College. At Boston College he earned a B.A. in Economics as a member of the Morrissey College of Arts & Sciences Honors Program. He also earned designation as a Scholar of the College. Dr. O’Malley then attended Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine in Nutley, New Jersey where he earned his Doctor of Medicine. His interests include health care policy, outcomes and registry science, and quality improvement within neurosurgery. Dr. O’Malley is excited to be joining Ascension St. Vincent to begin his Neurosurgical Training. Away from the Hospital Dr. O’Malley enjoys golf, running, hockey, football, and lacrosse.
