Michael Maghrabi, DPM

Director of Podiatric Medical Education

Since 1998, Dr. Maghrabi has served as director of this podiatric residency program, where he graduated in 1992. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. He attended the Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in North Chicago, after attending the University of Pittsburgh (which explains his undying love and passion for the Pittsburgh Steelers).

His goal is to install confidence in his residents by providing them with the best possible surgical training in an evidence-based environment.

Dr. Maghrabi is married and the proud father of two young daughters. He loves golfing and aspires to be a "good golfer" one day.

Shireen Lum, DPM

Dr. Lum is a graduate of our residency program and then joined the faculty after graduation. She oversees and manages the clinical component of the residents' training — adding to the residents' overall learning experience by providing a unique perspective on the changes that occur with the transition from residency to practice.

While she was a resident, she was awarded "Resident of the Quarter" for her hard work and dedication to the program and medical center. In addition, she was indirectly named by the hospital as having "the best handwriting of the decade" among her peers and medical staff. A great accomplishment!

In addition to Drs. Maghrabi and Lum, the teaching faculty includes 15 outstanding podiatrists, as well as more than 30 highly skilled physicians and surgeons from every discipline of medicine and surgery. Residents are guided by dedicated faculty members who help them to become independent and confident practitioners.
