2023

THOMAS (TC) FISHER-HEATH, DO

Medical School: Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine

Why I chose St. Vincent:I chose to train at PMCH because I wanted to train at a place that would set me up for the most success as a resident. I loved the program when I had the chance to rotate as a medical student & felt like it was a great fit for me after my interview! We have 1-on-1 learning opportunities with faculty who are excited to teach, a close knit group of residents & a wide variety of patient presentations from which we learn.

SIBIL GILL, DO

Medical School: Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine

Why I chose St. Vincent : Ichose PMCH because it provides the perfect combination of educational opportunities in a close-knit community. Also, everyone is so kind and truly wants you to succeed!

KATHERYNNE GREVE, DO

Medical School: Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine

Why I chose St. Vincent: When applying to residency, it was important to me to find a program where I felt I could grow as a physician in both knowledge & compassion & have a program invested in supporting that growth. As a rotating medical student at PMCH, it was readily apparent that this was a program where that would happen.

COURTNEY KELLY, MD

Medical School: American University of the Caribbean

Why I chose St. Vincent: From the program administration, to the attendings, to each resident I spoke to at PMCH, I could tell how intentionally close-knit these people were. More importantly, I knew the culture of this program would do more for my success as a physician than any other single factor. This has only become more apparent as I have started working here-my senior/chief resident even offered to take care of my puppy on my first overnight Shift.

MARINA TIPOLD, DO

Medical School: Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine-Auburn

Why I chose St. Vincent: I chose PMCH because of the amazing facility, residents , and opportunities both the hospital and Indianapolis have to offer. The family atmosphere & close resident relationship stood out to me right away. I was so impressed with PMCH's ability to reach urban, suburban and rural populations all in one clinic. I knew I would love it here, but to say PMCH has already stolen my heart is an understatement.

RYAN UNRUH, MD

Medical School: American University of Antigua College of Medicine

Why I chose St. Vincent: I chose Peyton Manning Children's Hospital because it boasts a wide variety of subspecialties & patient diversity to instill an environment of learning & patient centered care. Not being from the area, I really envisioned my ideal program to be one where the residents & attendings worked closely together creating a 'family' rather than 'coworker' feel. During my interview at PMCH, I felt this program met my criteria for an outstanding program & I could not be happier about being a part of the PMCH family.

2024

WILLIAM AKIN, DO

Medical School: Lincoln Memorial University DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine

Why I chose St. Vincent: I chose PMCH because it is a smaller, close knit program and the program sets you up for success with mentors from day one.

SALI AVADES, MD

Medical School: American University of Antigua College of Medicine

Why I chose St. Vincent: I chose PMCH because I wanted to be at a program with a small, close-knit group of supportive residents and faculty, while also being at a place where I will be exposed to a wide variety of pathology. During the interview season, it was evident to me that this was a program filled with people that will be supportive and caring enough to help me become the most well-rounded pediatrician!

BROOKE GREENE, MD

Medical School: American University of the Caribbean

Why I chose St. Vincent: I chose Peyton Manning Children's Hospital after the resident social and the interview, I knew I couldn't find a better program. Everyone was so welcoming and I knew I would find my forever friends and my second family among the residents, leadership, and staff. Also with my interest in neonatology, I knew the training in the NICU here would be impossible to beat. I couldn't be happier to call Indy and PMCH my new home!

THOMAS ROBINSON, MD

Medical School: American University of the Carribean

Why I chose St. Vincent: I chose PMCH because in my interviews, even though virtual, I was inspired by the faculty's passion for teaching and the program's emphasis on training residents to share in that passion.

ERRIS ROWAN, DO

Medical School: Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine

Why I chose St. Vincent: I chose PMCH because of all the friendly and kind people I met on my virtual interview day! Everyone genuinely seemed to care and treat each other like family.

VIJAY SUBRAMANIAM, DO

Medical School: Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine

Why I chose St. Vincent: I chose PMCH because I wanted a small program with a family atmosphere that would encourage me to get out of my comfort zone and grow as a physician. I love that the residents and attendings are passionate about teaching and truly care about helping you succeed. Indianapolis is an amazing place to live and I couldn't have picked a better place to train.

2025

Emily Cumberworth, DO

Medical School: Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine

Why I chose St. Vincent: I chose Peyton Manning Children's Hospital because I wanted a small program with a close-knit family feel. I was looking for a program where I would be supported through every step of residency. I wanted close relationships with the attendings so they would know my weaknesses and challenge me on them. Lastly, I wanted to stay in Indianapolis to be close to my fiancé and family. I am confident this program will help sculpt me into the best physician I can possibly be.

Haley Hall, MD

Medical School: Indiana University School of Medicine

Why I chose St. Vincent: I chose Peyton Manning Children's Hospital primarily because of the people! During interview day, I could truly tell how genuine each resident and faculty member were and knew I would fit in with them well. I also appreciated the smaller sized program located within a bustling, free-standing pediatric hospital that cares for children from every background!

Delaney Halloran, MD

Medical School: Indiana University School of Medicine

Why I chose St. Vincent: I chose Peyton Manning Children's Hospital because of the program's significant focus on close faculty-student relationships as well as its service to highly medically underserved populations. The ability to work so closely with core faculty, consulting specialists, and medical students provides wonderful opportunities for personal and professional growth during residency.

Annika Ritz, MD

Medical School: Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München Medizinische Fakultät

Why I chose St. Vincent: I chose Peyton Manning because of its tight-knit community, exceptional pediatric training, and location in a great city. It was important for me to not just be a number in a sea of residents (especially coming from abroad), but to have a more familial residency experience. I valued that at PMCH residents get to know the attendings and residents have each other’s backs. I was also drawn to PMCH because it is a free-standing children’s hospital with a pediatric ED and level 4 NICU that serves a diverse group of patients in Indianapolis and the surrounding area. With its many international cuisines, ample outdoor activities, and high standard of living, Indy is truly a hidden gem!

Jenny Sell, DO

Medical School: West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine

Why I chose St. Vincent: I am so thankful that I chose PMCH! Even online, it was obvious that the program was tight knit and looked after each other both in and out of the hospital. Everyone seemed to genuinely get along and made it clear that the PMCH faculty were all just as supportive and go above and beyond to teach and mentor.

Amy Young, DO

Medical School: Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine

Why I chose St. Vincent: I chose Peyton Manning Children's Hospital for the community; the residents, attendings, program leadership and patient population all included! I felt this program would provide a supportive atmosphere, while challenging me to reach my full potential as a physician. The high acuity care we provide to such a diverse area, all while making it feel like a family is everything I could have wanted, and more
