Ascension St. Vincent Surgical Technology Program provides equal opportunity to all applicants. The Program is selective in its admissions practices and evaluates applicants based on merit without discrimination on the basis of age, race, religion, creed, color, national origin, marital status, gender, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, or any other legally protected status. 


Application Deadlines

Applications for August 2024 start will be accepted from February 14, 2024 through April 15, 2024.
Applications for January 2025 start will be accepted from August 1, 2024 – December 1, 2024. 

All admission documents (application, application fee and all official transcripts) must be in possession of the Program Director by the stated deadline. If the application documents are being mailed, we recommend mailing your documents no later than 14 days prior to the deadline. Parcel tracking is also recommended.

All submitted documents become the permanent possession of the Surgical Technology Program and will not be returned.

Application Process

To apply for the Surgical Technology Program, candidates must: 
  1. Attend a mandatory Information Session. Dates/ times can be found under Pre-Admission Conference tab.
  2. Submit to the Program Director a completed application. 
  3. Non-refundable $20 application fee. The fee must be in the form of a personal check, money order, or cashier’s check. Cash will not be accepted. Make checks payable to “St. Vincent Surgical Technology Program.”
  4. Submit Qualifying Documentation: refer to minimum academic requirements to determine if you need to submit any additional transcripts/ scores in addition to  
  • Official transcripts from an American university, technical, vocational or other post-secondary institutions / schools attended. We recommend that official transcripts be sent electronically from the academic institution to the program director at (Click Here). Official transcripts may also be mailed to the Program Director directly from the institution or included with the candidate's application (but must remain in the sealed envelope from the institution). Transcripts that have been "Issued to Student" will not be accepted.
