American Society Of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT)

The ASRT is the largest and the oldest national not-for-profit professional association serving medical imaging and radiation therapy professionals. Since 1920, ASRT has helped foster the professional and educational interests of radiologic technologists. ASRT also publishes the curriculum guide used in radiologic technology schools. The ASRT is committed to continuing education as well as basic education for all radiologic technologists.

American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

The ARRT is the only national certifying agency that is recognized by the ASRT, the American Medical Association (AMA), and the American College of Radiology (ACR). The ARRT develops and administers examinations that assess the knowledge and skills underlying the performance of competency in radiologic tasks. In addition to initial recognition, the ARRT operates an ongoing system of annual registration to identify individuals who continue to demonstrate their qualifications by adhering to the standards of professional behavior and complying with continuing education requirements.

Joint Review Committee On Education In Radiologic Technology (JRCERT)

The JRCERT is the only organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (USDE) to evaluate and accredit educational programs in radiography and radiation therapy. JRCERT accreditation is the hallmark that tells student, patients, and the public at large that an educational program values academic excellence, health care quality, and patient and professional safety. The JRCERT sets the educational standards that are developed and accepted by professionals in the radiologic sciences.
