Advanced Heart Failure & Transplant Cardiology Interview Process
St. Vincent Hospital and Heart Center of Indiana is recruiting eligible candidates for the 2026 – 2027 Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology (AHFTC) Fellowship Program. The fellowship program is an ACGME accredited 1-year program. The curriculum will include patient management in the outpatient, inpatient and catheterization laboratory settings. Experience in transplant infectious disease, imaging, and device management is included.
Candidates must have completed an ACGME approved 3-year Cardiology Fellowship to be considered.

Applications are currently being accepted for one position, via ERAS, for the 2026-2027 academic year.
Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology (AHFTC) Fellowship to move to ERAS and NRMP Application with Synchronized Match System.

June 5 | Applicants begin contacting the EFDO to get a token to access MyERAS and start working on their application, personal statement and requesting letters of recommendation |
July 2 | Season officially begins Fellowship applicants may begin applying to July application cycle programs. |
July 16 | Programs may begin viewing applications |

October | October 1 - Rank Order List Opens Programs create their rank order lists Applicants create their rank order lists |

Other Stipulations
- ERAS will be used as the standardized application for all programs
- Application selection will utilize the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP) as part of the Medical Specialties Matching Prog
