How to Apply
Applications to the Ascension Saint Joseph - Chicago General Surgery Residency are only accepted through ERAS. We suggest a USMLE score of 240 or higher. We recruit for two (2) categorical PGY-1 positions and two (2) preliminary PGY-1 positions per year.
What should I emphasize in my application?
We look for strong letters of recommendation, USMLE scores of 240 or greater (first attempt), completion of USMLE Step 1 and 2, and we prefer our applicants to be in their last year of medical school, or no more than two years post-graduate.
