Bike trip to Vail Pass

Dr. Bruce Woods was the Behavior Science Director from 1980-1996. An avid cyclist, he conceived and launched the annual Bike Trip in 1983. Since then, every year the PGY 1 and 2 residents along with their families travel to Frisco, Colorado for a five-day retreat in September. During the trip, residents enjoy a much needed break from patient care to build leadership skills, grow in teamwork, hike a 14er, and brave the 14-mile bike trip up to Vail Pass (or just down, for those who prefer less challenge and more speed!).

Alumni are always welcome to join - just reach out for details! That said, we plan to hold a more formal alumni reunion every five years. Our next reunion is tentatively planned for the fourth weekend of September 2025.
